The Production Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment to support safe, reliable, and efficient operations. This position works closely with production personnel to minimize equipment downtime and help ensure production quality and quantity goals are met.
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on production equipment.
Troubleshoot equipment issues and diagnose mechanical or operational failures.
Complete necessary repairs to restore equipment to proper operating condition.
Monitor equipment performance and identify potential problems before failures occur.
Assist with preventative maintenance activities.
Work with production staff to minimize downtime and maintain production goals.
Follow established safety, maintenance, and operating procedures.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and equipment issues.
Communicate equipment concerns and repair status to appropriate personnel.
Work independently while also supporting the overall production team.
Associate’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related technical field required.
Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred.
Mechanical aptitude with experience troubleshooting and repairing equipment.
Ability to diagnose equipment failures and determine appropriate repairs.
Knowledge of basic maintenance and preventative maintenance practices.
Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team.
Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work in a technically demanding production environment.
