Overview

The Field Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day-to-day field operations and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company policies and procedures. This position provides direct supervision and guidance to field personnel and contractors performing construction, roustabout, maintenance, and general oilfield activities.

 

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in oilfield construction or roustabout operations, previous supervisory or leadership experience, and a strong commitment to safety. This individual must be comfortable holding employees accountable and enforcing safe work practices in the field.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise field crews performing construction, roustabout, maintenance, and general field activities.
  • Provide daily work direction and coordinate crew activities, manpower, equipment, and job priorities.
  • Ensure employees and contractors follow company safety policies, procedures, and safe work practices.
  • Conduct or participate in pre-job safety meetings, JSAs/JHAs, toolbox talks, and field safety observations.
  • Identify unsafe conditions or behaviors and take immediate corrective action when necessary.
  • Exercise stop-work authority when unsafe conditions are identified.
  • Ensure proper PPE and safe operating procedures are followed.
  • Monitor work quality, productivity, and job-site performance.
  • Communicate expectations clearly and hold employees accountable for safety and performance.
  • Coordinate with operations, maintenance, construction, and other field personnel as needed.
  • Complete required field documentation, safety reports, and operational paperwork.
  • Lead by example and promote a strong safety culture throughout field operations.

Qualifications

  • Must have Oil and Gas Construction, Roustabout, or similar field operations experience required.
  • Previous supervisory, foreman, crew lead, or field leadership experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of oilfield safety practices and procedures.
  • Ability to recognize hazards and enforce safe work practices.
  • Comfortable addressing unsafe behavior and holding field personnel accountable.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a field environment.
  • Must be dependable, safety-minded, and able to effectively manage multiple field activities.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required.
  • Must meet conditional job offer requirements.
