Overview

Responsible for remotely monitoring and supporting oil and gas production operations from a centralized control room. This position monitors field equipment, production conditions, alarms, and operating parameters through SCADA and other control systems to help maintain safe, reliable, and efficient operations.

Responsibilities

  • Safe and consistent, 12-hour shift operations of all Onshore central facilities and well assets, including downstream pressures
  • Controls and monitors all facility activities and communicates / dispatches urgent matters as needed.
  • Main point of contact between field personnel, management, safety, environmental, first responders, and engineering; ensuring safe, uninterrupted, and optimized business operations.
  • Production performance metric monitoring & live production process optimization
  • Real-time monitoring & dispatch of appropriate responses to field alarms while effectively evaluating & analyzing the root cause. Will require both remote capabilities and coordination of field employees to achieve
  • Coordinates responses for the Field Operations execution team, responding to inquiries, field support requirements, safety, and production upsets
  • Analyzes, interprets, and validates production variance report (PVR) of field data including downtime coding, flare venting, and fluid inventories
  • Maintains an intricate online production database
  • Builds collaborative relationships and actively engages with internal stakeholders, including Production Accounting, Engineering, Marketing and HSSE, for the purpose of analyzing daily/weekly outputs against set metrics
  • Priority based production model function and decision-making skills

Qualifications

  • Previous oil & gas production, lease operations, control room, or ROC experience required.
  • Experience with SCADA, HMI, or production monitoring systems.
  • Understanding of oil & gas production equipment such as separators, compressors, pumps, tanks, valves, and wellheads.
  • Ability to interpret alarms and production data and recognize abnormal operating conditions.
  • Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
  • Must meet conditional job offer requirements.
