Overview

The Kabal Shorebase Coordinator provides operational governance, process oversight, data-quality monitoring, user competency support, and continuous improvement for operations. The role helps ensure Kabal processes are consistently applied across shorebase, offshore, vessel, and vendor activities while identifying trends, compliance gaps, and opportunities for improvement. The coordinator role is focused on oversight, standardization, reporting, targeted support, and continuous improvement. The coordinator is not intended to replace normal shorebase, offshore, vessel, or vendor responsibilities or serve as additional manpower for routine transaction execution.

Responsibilities

  • Provide targeted Kabal support to shorebase and other operational users when questions, exceptions, or new workflows arise.
  • Coach users through Kabal workflows rather than completing routine responsibilities for them.
  • Identify recurring questions and competency gaps and coordinate refresher training or reference material as needed.
  • Support onboarding of new users and operational groups when required.
  • Escalate unresolved system issues or process concerns to Logistics or Kabal Support as appropriate.
  • Perform targeted reviews of manifests, inventory activity, shipment status, and other Kabal transactions based on operational risk, recurring trends, or identified exceptions.
  • Identify incomplete, aging, stalled, or inaccurate transactions requiring responsible-user follow-up.
  • Coordinate corrections with the responsible shorebase, offshore, vessel, or vendor user rather than routinely correcting work on their behalf.
  • Help maintain accurate cargo visibility and reliable operational data.
  • Escalate recurring or high-impact issues affecting cargo movement, compliance, reporting, or operational visibility.
  • Support inventory, equipment, and master-data questions when exceptions or recurring issues are identified.
  • Validate CCU, package, equipment, and certification information when support or review is required.
  • Identify duplicate, incomplete, or incorrect master-data records and coordinate correction or escalation.
  • Reinforce approved processes for CCU setup, ad hoc additions, certification verification, and supporting documentation.
  • Identify master-data trends that require a process change, reference guide, or Kabal system follow-up.
  • Support vendors and vessel personnel with onboarding, Kabal questions, and adoption of approved workflows.
  • Reinforce expectations while maintaining vendor responsibility for accurate and timely shipment information.
  • Support vessel adoption of Voyages, Departure Reports, and other applicable workflows and identify barriers to consistent use.
  • Track recurring vendor or vessel adoption/compliance gaps for follow-up, training, or escalation.
  • Support new vendor, vessel, or location rollouts when required without becoming the permanent transaction owner.
  • Develop and maintain Kabal work instructions, quick-reference guides, and approved process documentation.
  • Use recurring trends and lessons learned to determine whether a gap should be addressed through training, documentation, a standardized process, or escalation to Kabal.
  • Maintain the Kabal Dashboard/reference library as a consistent source of approved guidance.
  • Support targeted refresher training and onboarding based on operational needs and trend data.
  • Document approved workflow changes and lessons learned so knowledge is not dependent on individual users.
  • Maintain the Kabal Shorebase Support & Operation Tracker with complete and consistent information.
  • Analyze recurring issues by process, location, vendor, vessel, and user group where applicable.
  • Distinguish training/process gaps from actual Kabal system issues or enhancement requests.
  • Provide trend summaries and recommendations to Logistics and identify items requiring management attention.
  • Support development of consistent Kabal KPIs and reports for recurring Operations and leadership meetings where the underlying data is reliable.
  • Use reporting to measure adoption, identify recurring gaps, and help determine where operational focus is needed.
  • Gather operational feedback and identify opportunities to improve workflows, adoption, efficiency, and data quality.
  • Coordinate with Logistics, Operations, vendors, vessels, and Kabal Support on recurring issues and improvement opportunities.
  • Test or validate new Kabal functionality when requested and provide operational feedback.
  • Communicate approved system updates, process changes, and new functionality to affected users.
  • Support future Kabal enhancements and rollout planning based on operational priorities.

Qualifications

  • This position is a temporary position with possibility of becoming more permanent.
  • Verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions.

Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 5-7 years’ Material Coordinating experience required.
  • Kabal experience required.
  • Oil and gas experience preferred.
