Overview

The Lease Operator is responsible for supporting field operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing oil and gas production equipment. This role helps ensure production facilities operate safely, efficiently, and reliably while working closely with operations and maintenance teams. The position requires a strong mechanical background, the ability to work independently in the field, and a commitment to safety and environmental compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of production equipment.
  • Monitor and maintain production facilities to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Diagnose mechanical issues and perform corrective maintenance.
  • Read and interpret technical documents, schematics, and P&IDs.
  • Complete basic computer data entry, documentation, and reporting.
  • Coordinate with operations and maintenance personnel to resolve equipment issues.
  • Follow all safety, environmental, and operational procedures.
  • Travel between field locations as needed.

Qualifications

  • 5-10 years of experience in Oil and Gas
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of oil and gas production equipment and field operations.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, schematics, and P&IDs.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to travel between field locations.
  • Ability to work independently in a field environment while maintaining a strong safety focus.

  • Must be able to meet all conditional job offer requirements including background, drug test, MVR, agility and fit for duty.

  • Physical Requirements - Must be able to lift 40 lbs., climb ladders and stairs. Walking, bending, and stopping are required. Must be able to wear personal protective equipment. Must be able to respond to visual and audible alarms.
