Overview

The I&E Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, calibrating, and repairing electrical and instrumentation equipment used in oil and gas production facilities. This role helps ensure equipment operates safely, reliably, and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical and instrumentation equipment.
  • Calibrate transmitters, pressure, temperature, flow, and level instruments.
  • Maintain and repair motors, control panels, switches, VFDs, and other electrical equipment.
  • Troubleshoot PLCs, RTUs, and SCADA systems (as required).
  • Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on field equipment.
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, P&IDs, and wiring diagrams.
  • Ensure all work complies with company safety procedures and electrical codes.
  • Document maintenance activities and equipment repairs.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred.
  • Experience with electrical and instrumentation systems in an industrial or oil & gas environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of motors, controls, transmitters, PLCs, and calibration equipment.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and technical drawings.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to field locations as needed.
  • Must meet conditional job offer requirements.
