Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Technical Communication, Operations, Industrial Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent offshore oil and gas operations experience
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Skills and Competencies:
- 5–10+ years of experience in offshore oil and gas operations, engineering support, technical writing, or procedure development,
- Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining operating procedures within the oil and gas industry; deepwater experience preferred.
- Proven ability to read, interpret, and apply technical documentation and drawings, including but not limited to SAFE charts, P&IDs, PFDs, vendor data books, pump curves, and design philosophies.
- General understanding of offshore production operations, including but not limited to separation systems, compression systems, produced water systems, gas dehydration systems, hydraulic power systems, and related equipment.
- Experience working with offshore operations personnel, engineers, and SMEs to capture and validate operational knowledge.
- Familiarity with BSEE / offshore regulatory requirements and Management of Change (MOC) impacts on procedures
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and assignments simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also collaborating effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
