Overview

The Payroll Analyst plays a key role in ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely payroll processing for U.S. domestic and expatriate employees. This position supports end‑to‑end payroll operations, audits payroll results, resolves discrepancies, and partners closely with HR, Finance, and employees to maintain a seamless payroll experience. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, deep attention to detail, and hands‑on experience with SAP payroll systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the execution of accurate, timely end-to-end regular payroll processing for U.S. domestic and expatriate employees. Audit, reconcile and balance payroll results.
  • Analyze payroll inputs, employee data changes, and system calculations to validate accuracy.
  • Process off‑cycle payments, manual checks, voids, and ACH reversals in accordance with internal controls.   
  • Support payroll tax compliance, including new hire reporting, taxable fringe benefits, and year‑end W‑2 preparation.
  • Recommend and support enhancements to payroll processes, automation, and system utilization.
  • Manage paycheck distribution and incoming payroll mail.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records in accordance with retention and compliance standards.
  • Respond to payroll related inquiries and provide pay statements and payroll related documentation as needed.
  • Administer time and attendance processes for exempt and non‑exempt employees.
  • Research and resolve issues related to time reporting, leave balances, and accrual discrepancies.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent experience; coursework in accounting preferred.
  • 4+ years of hands-on payroll experience, including multi-state payroll for 1,000+ employees
  • Proficiency with SAP Payroll essential.
  • SAP Payroll technical configuration and support is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of payroll regulations, wage and hour laws, and tax requirements.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and proficiency in Word.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
  • Must meet condistional job offer requirments including background, drug test, agility, and fit for duty.
