Overview

The Standard Operating Procedure Coordinator position is responsible for maintaining and ensuring accuracy for all Standard Operating Procedures for customer’s existing GoA facilities as well as new builds and brownfield projects.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all Standard Operating Procedures for the Gulf of America
  • Assures all procedures are accurate and consistent with customer’s specifications
  • Assures all procedures are accurate and consistent with any BSSE or relevant governmental regulations
  • Responsible for validating the accuracy of operating procedures against P&IDs, vendor data, design philosophies, field data, etc.
  • Develops procedures for new builds and Brownfield projects
  • Updates existing procedures because of Management of Change process as well as in accordance with the customer’s 3-year review cycle
  • Responsible for driving consistency across operating procedures for the customer’s Assets within the Gulf of America
  • Develops and maintains KPIs to drive continuous improvement for the operating procedures.
  • Communicates with offshore personnel about operation procedural needs, changes, and improvements.
  • Responsible for creating assessment questions for the APC CAP Program for any new builds and Brownfield projects.

Qualifications

This position has a 9/80 work schedule in a customer's office located in Woodlands, TX. There is no housing allowance, therefore, candidate must live within a 50 mile radius to the location.

 

Education: Bachelor's degree required, engineering strongly preferred.

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience: The successful candidate will have 10 years’ experience post-graduation in offshore oil and gas operations.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Proven work experience developing and writing operating procedures for the Oil and Gas industry
  • Ability to read and interpret various documentation and drawings, including but not limited to SAFE charts, P&ID's, PFDs, vendor data books, pump curves, and design philosophies.
  • Overall understanding of production operations including but not limited to the following: separation systems, compression systems, chemical and hydrate inhibitor injection systems, produced water systems, gas dehydration systems, hydraulic powers systems, etc.
  • Must be familiar with BSSE regulations for GoA production facilities
  • Ability to seek out creative ways to manage the procedures such that they meet all required criteria but are still concise and user friendly
  • Highly proficient in MS Office applications
  • Advanced organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments
  • Strong Communication skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as interface successfully as part of a team
