The Field Operator will operate wells and production equipment safely and efficiently by following established operating procedures, safety guidelines, and daily operational plans. Maintain reliable equipment performance, minimize downtime, and support effective resource use.
Carry out daily operational tasks while maintaining high standards in safety, housekeeping, health, environmental protection, and site security.
Participate actively in daily toolbox talks and scheduled safety meetings.
Monitor wells and equipment continuously to identify issues, optimize performance, and implement corrective actions.
Perform basic maintenance tasks as an Equipment Care Technician to support equipment reliability.
Report any alarms, emergency conditions, or emergency shutdown system failures immediately.
Provide accurate, detailed shift‑handover information to ensure smooth operational continuity.
Coordinate and oversee maintenance activities in line with corrective, predictive, and preventive maintenance plans.
Record all operational events, abnormalities, and deviations in the logbook throughout the shift.
Collect product samples for laboratory testing and perform basic field lab tests as required.
Participate in emergency response activities and follow established procedures.
Report incidents and near‑misses according to company Incident Reporting Guidelines.
Maintain clear communication with the Operations Shift Supervisor regarding ongoing activities and operational concerns.
Support strong communication within the team to ensure issues are addressed promptly.
Provide accurate information on well performance, production rates, and well conditions.
Conduct thorough well diagnostics before requesting Well Work intervention.
Ensure wellheads and surface equipment are in proper working condition prior to handover for Wellwork operations.
Assist and support Wellwork teams during intervention activities as needed.
High School Diploma; prior experience as a Field Technician.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
High commitment to safety, health, and environmental standards, and promotes these values in others.
Extensive knowledge of pipeline operations and field production processes.
Strong understanding of safety systems, operational management tools, and emergency preparedness procedures.
Familiarity with project design specifications, operational philosophies, and regulatory requirements.
Knowledge of relevant commercial agreements and operational compliance expectations.
