Overview

The Land Analyst I supports Land Asset Teams by researching oil & gas leases and E&P contracts, analyzing ownership interests, and producing reports that track obligations and revenues. This role sits at the intersection of land administration, data analysis, and cross-functional coordination (Ops, Legal, Development).

 

It’s ideal for someone with 3–5 years of land/lease experience who’s comfortable working in land systems and interpreting contract data.

Responsibilities

  • Research and analyze: Oil & gas leases, E&P contracts, Working Interest (WI), and Net Revenue Interest (NRI.
  • Support: New wells, workovers, and recompletions.
  • Create reports using: Quorum Land System and business Objects (or similar reporting tools).
  • Track and analyze: Lease obligations and contract compliance.
  • Partner cross-functionally with: Operations, development, legal and OBO teams.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in Land, Lease Administration, or Land Systems work required.
  • Working knowledge of Working Interest (WI), Net Revenue Interest (NRI), and lease obligations, with ability to verify ownership for new wells and recompletions.
  • Experience using land systems (Quorum preferred) and reporting tools to create and maintain accurate records.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with Operations, Legal, and Development teams.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies, research solutions, and work within established procedures.
  • Must meet conditional job offer requirements including background, drug test, fit for duty/ agility test.
