The Project Controls Lead (PCL) is responsible for providing overall project controls leadership through the development and management of cost, schedule, progress measurement, and change management systems. This role partners closely with project teams, contractors, and leadership to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, within budget, and on schedule while driving continuous improvement and capital efficiency.
Lead overall project cost control, scheduling, progress measurement, and change management activities
Develop and maintain project budgets, cost breakdown structures, forecasts, and control systems
Create and manage Project Controls Plans and Management of Change (MOC) processes
Coordinate project estimating, planning, and scheduling efforts for major project milestones and reviews
Monitor project performance, identify risks or variances, and implement corrective actions
Provide regular cost and schedule reporting, forecasting, and analysis to project leadership
Interface with finance and controllers regarding budgets, AFEs, invoices, and work-in-place
Review contractor schedules, cost reports, progress updates, and change proposals
Support bid evaluations, contract budgeting, and milestone planning
Lead preparation for project funding reviews, gate reviews, and close-out reporting
Ensure quality assurance of contractor project control systems and performance
Mentor and lead project controls staff and coordinate across project teams
Drive capital efficiency initiatives and continuous improvement efforts
Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
Strong analytical, forecasting, and reporting abilities
Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced project environments
Willingness to relocate and work at project sites (including overseas, as required)
Demonstrated ability to drive process improvement and capital efficiency
