The position of Lease Operator is responsible for oil and gas well operations, well testing, operating and maintaining field equipment and facilities, surveillance of general field operations and maintenance of various databases regarding production and operations.  

• Monitor wells, pipeline ROWs, and operating pressures; accurately record data
• Gather production data and enter information into FDC
• Perform wellhead cuts and test wells to ensure accurate well data
• Start up compression equipment and follow proper startup procedures
• Working knowledge of gas lift, ESP, and downhole lift systems
• Perform minor repairs to field and facility equipment along assigned routes
• Communicate clearly and thoroughly with Engineers, Foremen, Leads, and ALTs regarding current and potential issues within the work area

• 1+ years of Lease Operator experience preferred.
• 1+ years of pumping experience.
• 3+ years of field-related experience.
• Willingness to work a rotating night shift.
• In-depth understanding of upstream facilities including but not limited to: separation, pumping, gathering, tankage, LACT sales, metering, and compression.
• Must have working knowledge of gas lifts, ESP, and downhole systems.
• High School Diploma or GED required. College Degree or Technical training preferred. 
• Valid US Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record. 
• Must be able to meet all conditional job offer requirements including background, drug, MVR, agility and fit for duty.
• Physical Requirements - Must be able to lift 40 lbs., climb ladders and stairs. Walking, bending stooping is required. Must be able to wear personal protective equipment. Must be able to respond to visual and audible alarms.
• Understanding of importance of environmental and safe work practices.
• Must live within 45 miles of Refugio, TX
