The position of Deepwater I&E Technician involves maintaining control systems on the platform, including calibration of equipment, ensuring regulatory compliance, and assisting in the development of instrumentation and electrical (I&E) maintenance plans. A key aspect of the role is strict adherence to all safety standards to ensure a secure working environment.
• High School Education or GED required.
• Associate degree in Instrumentation or Electrical Technology preferred.
• Five (5) years process instrumentation/electrical maintenance experience in industry OR two (2) years maintenance experience in industry and associate degree in Instrumentation or Electrical Technology.
• Experience with high voltage systems (13.8KV, 4160V), circuit breakers, motor starters, relaying, cable terminations and repairs, with an understanding of HIPOT, TTR, Phasing and Meggar testing preferred.
• Good working knowledge of SAP.
• Must be proficient in troubleshooting using loop drawing, schematics, ladder logic, electrical one-line, and P&I drawings.
• Proficient in maintaining process control loops, electronic controls, valves, and transmitters.
• This position requires proof of the NCCER certification prior to employment (electrical and/or instrumentation preferred).
• Experience in working rotational and shift patterns (14/14 days on/off and 12-hour shifts)
• High proficiency in Microsoft applications.
• Must possess valid government ID.
• Physical requirements – Must be able to lift 40 lbs, climb ladders and stairs. Walking, bending, stooping is required. Must be able to wear personal protective equipment including the use of a respirator. Must be able to respond to visual and audible alarms.
Additional Desired Qualifications:
• Additional chemical plant or manufacturing experience is preferred.
