The Systems Completion Lead II is responsible for driving the full systems completion process across assigned projects, ensuring safe, efficient, and high‑quality delivery from Mechanical Completion through Commissioning, Start‑up, Turnover, and Handover. This role oversees the development and management of the Systems Completion Database (SCDB) and provides leadership to Systems Completion Clerks and the SCDB Administrator. The SC Lead works closely with contractors and project teams to ensure all systems completion requirements are clearly defined, understood, and executed.
Provide expert oversight of the Systems Completion process, including Mechanical Completion, Commissioning sequencing, walkdowns, punch list management, and Turnover/Handover activities.
Collaborate with contractors to ensure completions requirements (walkdowns, reviews, documentation) are fully understood and followed.
Lead or review the setup, structure, and ongoing management of the Systems Completion Database (SCDB).
Define and maintain the project hierarchy to align with the completions execution plan.
Ensure strong alignment between facility hierarchy, discipline verification activities, and commissioning sequence.
Apply knowledge of tagging systems and proper allocation of A & B check sheets.
Demonstrate leadership that reinforces project priorities of safety, quality, and schedule, using assertive and effective communication.
Lead the development of Systems Completion strategies, execution plans, and project procedures.
Monitor commissioning progress and support resolution of Systems Completion issues as they arise.
Drive all necessary actions to achieve final system/subsystem completion and ensure readiness for downstream pre‑commissioning activities.
Provide guidance and mentorship to SC clerks, administrators, and project team members.
Support continuous improvement of completions workflows, documentation, and reporting.
Previous experience in a Systems Completion or related role.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, relevant technical certification(s), or equivalent professional experience.
Demonstrated leadership experience (supervisory, team lead, engineering lead, or similar).
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present clear recommendations to management.
Skilled facilitator capable of building consensus and maintaining strong working relationships.
Ability to perform under tight deadlines and shifting priorities.
Knowledge of Project Completions and Commissioning practices, including software such as WinPCS, MC+, CoConsole, Orbit.
