The Automation Specialist II will serve as a key technical resource, working closely with Production Operations, Facilities Engineering, Automation Engineering, and Automation Maintenance to ensure projects are delivered on time, aligned with engineered designs, and executed to the highest industry standards. This position offers the opportunity to directly influence facility performance, reliability, and safety while applying advanced automation expertise in a dynamic field environment.
Troubleshoot and repair Allen-Bradley PLCs (ControlLogix, CompactLogix), RTUs, and HMIs
Calibrate and maintain instrumentation for level, pressure, flow, and vibration
Support automation systems integrity across well pads, batteries, SWD sites, and compressor stations
Program and modify logic in Studio 5000 (Ladder, Function Block, Structured Text)
Configure and commission installations using P&IDs, Cause & Effect matrices, and control narratives
Design and maintain HMI screens and alarming systems in FactoryTalk View
Use SAP or CMMS tools for work planning, documentation, and maintenance tracking
Adhere to MOC procedures and corporate programming standards
Strong proficiency with Allen-Bradley (Studio 5000, FactoryTalk View)
Knowledge of analog/discrete I/O, Ethernet/IP, and Modbus communications
Ability to interpret P&IDs, wiring diagrams, and loop sheets
