Overview

The Turnaround Execution Coordinator II is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing plant shutdowns and turnarounds with precision, safety, and efficiency. This role provides early design input to projects, manages integrated shutdown planning, and mentors less experienced coordinators to strengthen organizational capability. The position requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to manage complex, cross-functional activities under tight timelines.

Responsibilities

  • Provide early design input to Global Projects for Brownfield Expansion Projects, incorporating O&M learnings to minimize downtime.
  • Coordinate with multifunctional planning teams after finalizing the Shutdown Plan (categorization, scope list, execution timing/sequence, isolation philosophy).
  • Lean Thinking review of scope
  • Integrated schedule development
  • Checkpoint deliverables (Checkpoint 1, Checkpoint 2, Go/No-Go)
  • Supporting plans (communication, contingency, emergency response, staffing, contractor summary, etc.)
  • Tracking of integrated plan activities through Go/No-Go
  • Pre-work requirements (materials, initial activities, etc.)
  • Detailed isolation plans
  • Finalization of MOCs (Management of Change)
  • Execution plans and work permits
  • Facilitate reviews with senior leadership at checkpoints and conduct post-shutdown lookback reviews.
  • Mentor less experienced Shutdown Coordinators to build organizational capacity in shutdown management processes.
  • Support the development and refinement of integrated shutdown scheduling tools (e.g., Primavera, Microsoft Project).
  • Provide feedback on future enhancements, including:
  • Shutdown execution schedule KPIs and advanced planning methods
  • Crash planning and preparation processes for unplanned shutdowns

Qualifications

  • 5- 8 years od experience rquired.
  • Must live in MIdland, TX. 
  • Strong back ground in shutdown coordination, planning and scheduling.
  • Strong knowledge of shutdown planning processes, isolation philosophy, and safety standards.
  • Experience with scheduling tools such as Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage contractors.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Must meet conditional job offer requirements including background check, drug test, MVR check, and fit for duty/agility test.
