The Electrical Engineering Technician III supports field electrical maintenance activities and ensures safe electrical isolation procedures (Lock Out Tag Out – LOTO) for lighting, air conditioning, and motor systems. This role typically reports to a supervisor or manager and serves as a technical leader, guiding junior staff and handling complex electrical challenges in industrial and commercial environments.
Support field electrical maintenance work across lighting, HVAC, and motor systems.
Perform electrical isolation procedures (LOTO) to ensure safety during maintenance operations.
Provide technical expertise and mentorship to lower-level staff.
Guide junior staff in resolving complex electrical problems.
Assemble, test, and modify experimental and operational electrical machinery, control equipment, circuitry, and components per engineering specifications.
Diagnose malfunctions and perform preventive/corrective maintenance to ensure system reliability.
Record data, analyze performance, and recommend modifications or equipment replacement.
Relevant experience in a closely related electrical maintenance role.
Certification in electrical disciplines or equivalent professional experience.
Strong communication skills to clearly describe field conditions and recommend remediation steps.
Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams without direct authority.
Adaptability to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and shifting priorities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite for documentation and reporting.
