The Automation Technician will support East Texas Operations by installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting automation, PLC, communication, and I&E equipment. This role requires strong hands-on field experience, solid troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work safely and independently in a fast-paced oil and gas environment.
Install, maintain, and troubleshoot Automation & I&E equipment (PLC components, transmitters, wireless devices, HMIs, comms equipment).
Utilize SCADA systems for daily monitoring of operations and equipment performance.
Perform troubleshooting and repair on electrical circuits and control components.
Execute Lock-Out/Tag-Out procedures safely and accurately.
Support daily operations and assist with additional duties as needed.
Promote and reinforce a strong safety culture across the field team.
Work independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision.
Participate in call-out rotation (nights, weekends, holidays) once trained.
Work in extreme outdoor environments and H2S conditions while using proper PPE/SCBA.
Work extended hours when required.
Strong ability to install, troubleshoot, and repair:Allen Bradley PLCs (Micro 800 series / Connected Components Workbench)
