The Field Operator III (Control Room Operator) is responsible for safely operating wells, equipment, and production facilities through continuous monitoring and surveillance. This role ensures reliable, efficient operation by applying established operating procedures, identifying optimization opportunities, coordinating maintenance, and supporting field and wellwork activities. The operator will play a key role in emergency response readiness and maintaining accurate operational records to ensure seamless shift transitions and uninterrupted production.
Operate wells and equipment in alignment with operating procedures and daily production plans.
Provide continuous surveillance of wells, equipment, and facility conditions to ensure safe and reliable operations.
Identify, troubleshoot, and implement corrective and optimization actions.
Serve as Equipment Care Technician, performing basic maintenance and supporting routine upkeep.
Report immediately when alarm or ESD systems malfunction or are out of service.
Maintain continuous awareness of abnormal events, deviations, or equipment concerns.
Maintain strong communication with the Operations Shift Supervisor and field personnel.
Actively participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings, and operational discussions.
Follow all safety, health, environmental, and security procedures consistently.
Participate in emergency response activities and follow emergency preparedness procedures.
Report incidents and escalate issues per Incident Reporting Guidelines.
Ensure safety culture is maintained and reinforced across the team.
Provide accurate diagnostics for well issues, production concerns, and equipment conditions.
Ensure wellheads and surface equipment are properly maintained before wellwork operations begin.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Prior experience working as a Field Technician or Field/Control Room Operator.
Strong communication skills (oral and written).
High commitment to Safety, Health, and Environment performance and awareness.

Operations management tools and systems

Project design philosophies and specifications
Commercial agreements relevant to operations
