Overview

As a Compressor Mechanic, you will be responsible for the operation, surveillance, and troubleshooting of natural gas engines, compressors, and pumps. This includes validating and inputting production and injection data, performing preventative/predictive maintenance, reactive maintenance, and major and minor repairs on equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on gas compressors, engines, and auxiliary equipment.
  • Rebuild or replace worn or damaged compressor components such as valves, pistons, rings, and bearings.
  • Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and parts usage.
  • Follow all company and client safety procedures and participate in safety meetings and audits.
  • Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to schedule maintenance and troubleshoot issues.
  • Experience working with high-speed reciprocating Ariel and GE-Gemini compressors.
  • Responsible attitude for personal safety and the safety of co-workers, contractors and the public. 

     

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of Oil & Gas mechanical experience with the following:  Working knowledge of gas compressors, natural gas engines and generators.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as by self without direct supervision. 
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Must be able to meet all conditional job offer requirements including background, drug, hair follicle, MVR, agility and fit for duty.
  • Physical Requirements - Must be able to lift 40 lbs., climb ladders and stairs. Walking, bending stooping is required. Must be able to wear personal protective equipment. Must be able to respond to visual and audible alarms.
  • Understanding of importance of environmental and safe work practices.
