The Commissioning Specialist to lead and coordinate field execution of commissioning activities across multiple disciplines, including Mechanical, Rotating Machinery, Electrical, Telecoms, and Instrumentation. This role serves as the on-site representative of the company’s Commissioning Authority and plays a critical part in ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence during project execution.
Lead coordination and oversight of commissioning activities in the field.
Collaborate with contractors to ensure commissioning requirements are clearly understood and followed.
Interface with engineering, construction, and quality teams to resolve technical and procedural issues.
Intervene assertively when unsafe practices or deviations from procedures are observed.
Represent the company’s Commissioning Authority on-site, ensuring alignment with project goals.
Attend and contribute to post-construction (warranty phase) meetings.
Assist in the development of systems manuals and commissioning reports.
Conduct hands-on functional performance testing and analyze system performance using appropriate instrumentation.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
Proven experience in a closely related commissioning or field engineering role.
Strong technical expertise and hands-on field experience in one or more relevant disciplines.
Proficient in Work Management Systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Working knowledge of MEP systems and integrated control systems.
Familiarity with Systems Completion Database software (e.g., WinPCS, MC+, CoConsole, Orbit).
Effective communicator with the ability to clearly describe field conditions and recommend solutions.
Demonstrated leadership and teamwork skills, especially in cross-functional environments.
Ability to manage tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and shifting priorities.
