Position Summary:
The Inventory Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, monitoring stock levels, and ensuring materials and products are properly stored, organized, and accounted for. This role supports daily warehouse operations, audits, and reporting to maintain efficient supply chain flow and prevent discrepancies.
Primarily warehouse or stockroom setting.
May involve standing, lifting, and moving materials throughout the shift.
Full-time position; overtime or weekends may be required based on business needs.
Count, and record incoming materials, supplies, and products.
Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts to verify accuracy.
Track inventory levels and report shortages, overages, or discrepancies.
Update inventory databases and warehouse management systems (WMS).
Label and organize inventory for efficient access and retrieval.
Assist in developing and improving inventory control procedures.
Generate inventory reports and provide data to management as requested.
Ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards.
Support shipping and receiving operations when needed.
High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
1–3 years of experience in inventory control, warehousing, or logistics.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and inventory management/WMS software.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jack, forklift) preferred.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
