Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Automation Tech to join our team. This role focuses on implementing, troubleshooting, and supporting automation systems, to support well site control system and pumping units. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation in industrial automation, a hands-on approach to problem-solving, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support daily operation and maintenance of wellsite automation and control systems on pumping units, tank batteries, and production facilities. 
  • Troubleshoot, calibrate, and repair control panels, transmitters, and field devices (pressure, flow temperature, and level)
  • Perform start up checks and functions tests on new wells and artificial lift systems to ensure control logic and communications are operating properly. 
  • Must be proficient in troubleshooting using schematics, ladder logic, electrical one-line, and P&I drawings.
  • Proficient in maintaining process control loops, electronic controls, valves, and transmitters.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 yrs years of Oil and Gas Automation experience required.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; 2-year degree in Instrumentation or Automation Technology preferred. 
  • Must live in Hobbs, NM, Denver City, TX, Seminole, TX, Eunice, TX and Andrews, TX area. Housing is not provided for this role.
  • Well works experience is highly preferred, including rod pump controllers, tanks batteries, and well site control panels.
  • Must be able to meet all conditional job offer requirements including background, drug, hair follicle, MVR, agility and fit for duty.
  • Physical Requirements - Must be able to lift 40 lbs., climb ladders and stairs. Walking, bending stooping is required. Must be able to wear personal protective equipment. Must be able to respond to visual and audible alarms.
  • Understanding of importance of environmental and safe work practices
