Overview

Performs installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical and instrumentation systems supporting production operations. Ensures all work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable codes, company standards, and procedures. Supports operations and engineering teams by providing technical expertise and system reliability assurance

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, test, and repair electrical and instrumentation equipment used in production facilities.
  • Plan, update, and oversee activities within assigned areas in accordance with safety, regulatory, and company standards.
  • Support team collaboration between Operations, Engineering, and Projects groups.
  • Review and provide input on control specifications and work practices.
  • Maintain accountability for electrical and control systems per Work Management Manual.
  • Apply and follow all required work permits under the Permit-to-Work System (PTWS).
  • Ensure quality and timely completion of all scheduled maintenance.
  • Provide technical support for troubleshooting, maintenance, and new installations.
  • Conduct inspections and verify new installations for compliance with design intent; recommend system upgrades as needed.
  • Generate and follow up on Management of Change (MOC) requests for electrical/control equipment.
  • Attend or lead technical meetings and training sessions to stay current on codes, specifications, and new technology.
  • Promote and maintain safe work practices and communication across all disciplines.
  • Serve as backup to the Instrument and Electrical Lead as required.

Qualifications

  • 5 + years’ experience in electrical and instrumentation maintenance within oil & gas production or processing facilities.
  • Associate degree or equivalent technical education preferred. High school diploma or GED required.
  • Allen-Bradley, ROC, and IDEC control systems preferred.
  • HMI platforms such as Red Lion Crimson and PanelView preferred.
  • Familiarity with PTWS, OIMS documentation, and work management processes.
  • Working knowledge of OIMS and relevant safety/maintenance systems.
  • Proficient computing and documentation skills.
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and organizational abilities.
  • Safety-oriented with attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
  • Must meet conditional job offer requirements including background check, drug test, MVR, and fit for duty/agility test.
