The Electrical Maintenance Technician III supports all field electrical maintenance activities for lighting, HVAC, and motor systems in Big Lake, TX. This role is responsible for executing preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting electrical systems, and supporting Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures to ensure safe and reliable operations. The Technician will coordinate with vendors and other departments to maintain high equipment uptime and comply with all SSHE (Safety, Security, Health, and Environment) standards.
Perform field electrical maintenance and support electrical isolation (LOTO) for facility systems.
Plan and execute scheduled preventive and breakdown maintenance to minimize downtime.
Work directly with vendors and subcontractors on repairs or installations as needed.
Follow Management of Change (MOC) processes for plant modifications.
Apply technical knowledge efficiently and identify opportunities for cost savings or process improvements.
Promote and uphold high SSHE standards and actively participate in waste management initiatives.
Utilize Observation Safety Techniques (OST) to report safe and unsafe acts.
Attend and contribute to daily operations shift meetings.
Support team members and communicate effectively with supervisors and cross-functional teams.
Texas Journeyman Electrician License – required.
Previous experience in a similar role; Oil and Gas industry experience preferred.
Strong background in powerline / powerline build work and general electrical maintenance.
Proficiency in troubleshooting and maintaining motors, MCCs, and other facility electrical systems.
Working knowledge of Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures and electrical safety practices.
Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to document and explain field conditions.
Proven teamwork and adaptability under tight deadlines and changing priorities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
