Overview

The Material Coordinator supports projects by managing end-to-end material coordination activities. This position serves as the key link between the business unit, procurement, and field operations to ensure materials and services are delivered efficiently. The role involves daily collaboration with planning, inventory, maintenance, vendors, and buyers to maintain alignment with business practices and provide excellent internal customer support.

Responsibilities

  • Provide input on risk-based equipment spares stock to balance reliability and cost efficiency.
  • Maintain strong relationships with supporting departments and promote a continuous-improvement mindset.
  • Assist with the return of parts to stock or vendor for credit, including core management within the mining industry.
  • Execute SAP system transactions and coordinate logistics for repair and return of stock materials.
  • Monitor and manage inventory movement, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to company controls.
  • Communicate effectively across departments to resolve issues and minimize downtime

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Previous experience in a materials coordination, warehouse, or related role.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP material catalogs, search tools, and system transactions.
  • Understanding of how and where materials are used in plant or field operations.
  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Must meet conditional job offer requirements including background, drug test, MVR, and fit for duty/agility test.
