Overview

The SSHE Coordinator is responsible for supporting and promoting a safe and compliant workplace across all operations and contractor activities. This role ensures compliance with company safety policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices while driving a strong culture of safety awareness and accountability. The SSHE Coordinator will develop training, implement safety programs, and monitor performance to reduce risks and improve safety outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) training programs for employees and contractors.
  • Implement and monitor the company’s safety plan, including stewardship expectations, reporting, and software data integrity.
  • Develop and manage safety communication plans to effectively reach employees and contractors.
  • Review and evaluate contractor safety plans, policies, and procedures for compliance.
  • Conduct and report risk analyses for specific jobs and projects.
  • Support implementation of safety programs across operational sites.
  • Compile, track, and analyze SHE statistics and performance data for reporting.
  • Facilitate safety meetings, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Promote a strong safety culture by engaging with field personnel, supervisors, and contractors.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or related field (preferred) or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in SSHE, HSE, or related safety coordination roles, preferably in oil & gas, energy, or industrial operations.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and industry-specific health and safety regulations.
  • Strong communication and training skills with ability to engage diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in safety reporting tools, data tracking, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct risk assessments and implement corrective actions.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Certifications such as OSHA 30, NEBOSH, or equivalent are a plus.
  • Must be able to meet all conditional job offer requirements including background and drug test/hair follicle.
