The role of Pipeline Operator provides operational, technical, and mechanical support for facility equipment, focusing on inspections, production switching, and troubleshooting/maintenance of LACT units. Primary responsibilities include pigging operations and maintenance tasks related to equipment troubleshooting, testing, installation, and repair within the assigned area.
• Provide clear communication, teamwork, safety and environmental focus, and compliance with established policies and procedures will be keys to success.
• The position requires a self-motivated and safety driven individual with strong leadership skills.
• Plan, organize and prioritize assigned responsibilities and work.
• Available to respond (on-call) to emergency situations if any arise.
• Ability to read, interpret, and utilize P&IDs, process flow diagrams, schematics, and alignment sheets.
• Strong, field based, leadership of contract crews.
• Follow all procedures provided and adhere to all safety and environmental policies.
• Problem solving and troubleshooting skills; ability to work technical issues with engineering staff and leadership.
• Generates field reports and information in an organized and timely manner for analysis.
• Actively participate in all safety and Team operations meetings.
• Intermediate level, typically 3-5 years of oilfield experience, with pipeline pigging experience using pig valve, and conventional launchers and receiver’s configuration.
• 60-80% travel to locations throughout the asset assigned.
• Must have valid driver’s license.
• Ability to perform intermediate pipeline flow troubleshooting tasks.
• Intermediate computer skills using Pipeline Apps, Excel, Outlook, Teams, Word.
• Intermediate understanding of mobile pump equipment and pipeline cleanouts.
• Intermediate understanding of the flow process and how it affects the pipeline network and associated operational facilities.
• Willing and able to perform/align with following (with or without reasonable accommodation): Perform physical requirements of the position including but not limited to working in tight spaces, walking up and down stairs and ladders, negotiating uneven surfaces, and carrying up to 50 pounds.
• Preferred associate’s degree in engineering or another technical field
• Ability to meet all conditional job offer requirements, including background check, drug/hair follicle test, MVR, agility, and fit for duty.
• Compliance with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements per company Environmental, Health, and Safety policies.
• Must Live within 45 miles of Kenedy, TX
