Overview

The Accounts Payable Coordinator will support energy management operations by ensuring accurate processing, analysis, and tracking of electricity bills, credits, and payments. This role requires strong technical and analytical skills, along with the ability to manage data through spreadsheets, web-based platforms, and utility bill management software. The ideal candidate will bring energy management or oil and gas industry experience, with attention to detail and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Input and analyze electricity bill cost and usage data through manual or automated processes.

  • Track credits, payments, and reconciliations related to company utility accounts.

  • Query, organize, and maintain databases related to energy usage and utility payments.

  • Work with spreadsheets, web-based applications, and utility bill management systems.

  • Apply knowledge of utility bill structures, rates, and tariffs in day-to-day operations.

  • Collaborate with accounting, finance, and energy management teams to support reporting needs.

  • Maintain a high level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail in all tasks.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree preferred (Energy Management, Accounting, Finance, Business Management, or related field).

  • Minimum 3 years of related work experience, including 2+ years in energy management, accounting, electricity, or oil & gas industry.

  • Familiarity with upstream oil & gas operations strongly preferred.

  • Proficiency with spreadsheets (Excel) and web-based tools; ability to query/manage databases.

  • Experience with utility bill management software strongly preferred.

  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Self-starter who can work independently and manage multiple priorities.
