Overview

The E&I Construction Specialist is responsible for the planning, design, and construction of electrical and instrumentation systems for oil and gas facilities. They will work with a team of engineers, technicians, and other professionals to ensure that these systems are installed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with all applicable regulations. 

Responsibilities


- Collaborate with engineering teams to develop detailed plans for electrical and instrumentation systems.
- Ensure alignment with project objectives, safety guidelines, and operational requirements.
- Supervise installation activities, including cable laying, equipment mounting, and wiring.
- Monitor progress, quality, and adherence to project schedules.
- Implement safety protocols and best practices during installation.
- Verify compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
- Work closely with engineers, technicians, and contractors to resolve technical challenges.
- Foster effective communication within the project team.
- Experience in electrical and instrumentation construction within the oil and gas industry.
- Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (NEC, API, etc.).
- Proficiency in system design software (AutoCAD, ETAP, etc.).
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent. 
  • 5+ years oil & gas electrical experience with a responsible attitude for personal safety and the safety of co-workers, contractors, and the public. 
  • 3+ years working experience in Oil and Gas as an Electrical Inspector constructing Electrical/Automation control systems and devices at well pads/facilities. 
  • Must meet electrical qualifications per OSHA 1910.269 up to 600V. 
  • Texas Journeyman License required 
  • Demonstrated experience with Pre-Start Safety Review Process (PSSR) and Management of Change (MOC). 
  • Must exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with management, technical, and field personnel. 
  • Must be able to meet all conditional job offer requirements including background, drug, hair follicle, MVR, agility, and Fit for Duty.
