Overview

The role of Pneumatic Technician II is responsible for various electrical construction projects offshore and inland, ensuring precise installation and maintenance of pneumatic systems and instruments. 

Responsibilities

  • Work project assignments on land or offshore locations. 
  • Spot instrument locations for support or bracket installations. 
  • Receive and verify Instrument Data Sheets. 
  • Properly install instruments, tubing, tube trays, fittings, bracketing systems, and instrument valves as per installation details. 
  • Run single line and group line tubing independently. 
  • Fit up pneumatic end devices with SS fittings under supervision. 
  • Install fusible plug loops according to API 14C. 
  • Pressure test tubing as per specifications. 
  • Work with technicians in all construction phases to advance techniques. 
  • Inspect meters, indicators, and gauges for abnormal fluctuations. 
  • Test accuracy of instruments using various test equipment. 
  • Trace and test electronic circuitry to locate defects. 
  • Remove, clean, and replace defective instruments and components. 
  • Reassemble and calibrate instruments for accuracy. 
  • Record calibrations, parts used, and inventory. 
  • Prepare schematic drawings and reports for instrument changes. 
  • Observe and comply with safety and project rules. 
  • Participate in safety training and procedures such as first aid, CPR, and emergency drills. 
  • Travel to worksites via marine or helicopter transport. 
  • Reside at worksite based on work schedule. 
  • Care for test instruments and tools. 

Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. 
  • Valid TWIC card. 
  • 3+ years of offshore/in-land industrial pneumatic experience.
