Overview

As a Production Tech I you will be responsible for monitoring, optimizing, and maintaining oil and gas production and injection wells on a rotational schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, operate, and maintain production equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations.
  • Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, and minor repairs on well-site facilities.
  • Collect and analyze production data to optimize performance.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety and environmental policies.
  • Work collaboratively with field personnel to maintain production targets.
  • Non-scheduled callouts outside normal business hours can be expected. 
  • Types of wells include flowing, beam pump (with electronic pump-off controller), plunger lift, water injection and water disposal. 
  • Types of facilities include production tank batteries, flowlines, LACT (lease automatic custody transfer) facilities, water injection plants, natural gas compression, cathodic protection and metering devices (electronic gas measurement and others). 
  • Job is to be performed employing safe work practices while utilizing acceptable environmental procedures to maximize earnings while minimizing costs on assigned oil and gas producing properties. 
  • Daily monitoring of multiple well sites by vehicle. 

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in oil and gas production operations preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work in a field environment, including exposure to various weather conditions.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and a strong commitment to safety.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Must be able to meet all conditional job offer requirements including background, drug test, MVR, agility and fit for duty.
  • Understanding of environmental and safe work practices.
