Overview

The Operations Representative III actively supports Health, Environment, and Safety (HES) initiatives by performing daily activities in compliance with applicable regulations, policies, and safe operating practices. This role involves operating, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining oil and gas production equipment while ensuring reliable, safe, and efficient operations. The individual will collaborate with team members and contractors to optimize production, maintain equipment integrity, and support operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Support HES processes by maintaining safe work practices and being prepared to respond to safety or environmental events.

  • Operate, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain oil and gas production equipment.

  • Perform duties associated with oil and gas producing operations, including plunger lift, rod pumping, flowing wells, and compressors.

  • Optimize artificial lift systems and conduct well testing.

  • Acquire fluid level information and maintain accurate records and data entry.

  • Monitor computer control systems and test safety devices.

  • Operate and monitor SCADA systems.

  • Collaborate with employees and contractors to ensure optimal equipment efficiency.

  • Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to create work orders, manage inventory, and prioritize maintenance tasks.

  • Adhere to operational excellence standards and all regulatory requirements.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of current, relevant experience in oil and gas or related petrochemical industries.

  • Ability and willingness to work rotating on-call shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.

  • Valid driver’s license.

  • Associate degree in Petroleum, Process Technology, or related discipline.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • At least 2 years of additional relevant experience in oil and gas or petrochemical industries.

  • Familiarity with reliability efforts related to safety, environmental, and production systems.

  • Ability to perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance of production and facility equipment.

  • Experience with pneumatic and electronic instrumentation.

  • Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), CMMS, SCADA, and ability to learn new software tools.

  • Strong multitasking abilities with limited supervision.

  • Effective teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams and stakeholders.

  • Strong time management skills with the ability to work independently.
