Overview

The Planning Tech II is responsible for high-level support to the Project Planning & Reporting Team Lead and team members, ensuring smooth coordination of meetings, workshops, and project deliverables. This position involves analytical, organizational, and communication duties, including presentation development, project data analysis, and document management. The role requires frequent interaction with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate project reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage logistics, materials, and execution for management meetings and workshops.
  • Prepare, develop, and refine management presentations in collaboration with various business teams.
  • Compile, format, and review project status reports, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
  • Gather and consolidate information from multiple stakeholders, including project managers and support groups.
  • Support planning and reporting team members in reviewing project and affiliate business materials.
  • Monitor, track, and report project performance metrics.
  • Perform data analysis using spreadsheets and develop charts, graphs, and reports.
  • Format presentations and datasets to meet professional standards.
  • Organize and maintain electronic information on SharePoint and LAN; design and manage SharePoint team sites.
  • Ensure proper archival of project documentation.
  • Administer complex databases, ensuring data integrity, compilation, and manipulation.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in planning and reporting tools and systems.
  • Manage contract documentation, cost monitoring, accruals, service/work orders, and requisitioning.
  • Maintain project presentations and files in a structured, accessible format.

Qualifications

  • College diploma or equivalent required; experience in oil and gas or a large corporate environment preferred.
  • Demonstrated skills and leadership in similar roles.
  • Strong business judgment with the ability to work independently and proactively.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to respond quickly to urgent requests.
  • Adaptable to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional maturity and discretion in handling sensitive information.
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and exceptional attention to detail.
