Overview

The position of Salt Water Disposal Operator will be responsible for maintaining records for daily reports, performance maintenance on pumps and other equipment with minimal or no supervision. 

Responsibilities

  • Cleaning out SWD filter baskets on the pumps and offload locations.
  • Provide excellent customer service while interacting with truck drivers.
  • Checking loads to ensure fluid is acceptable for disposal.
  • Proactively monitoring water levels at site to ensure tanks are within their operating parameters.
  • Daily inspection of equipment and facility operating functions.
  • Perform necessary preventive and corrective maintenance.
  • Monitoring and account for skim oil volumes removed from facility.
  • Tracking pump pressures.
  • Coordinate with trucking companies on delivery of saltwater.
  • Monitoring drivers for proper procedures and the use of personal protection equipment.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe environment at all times.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE policies and saltwater disposal requirements.
  • Reporting safety and environmental issues to management.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of saltwater disposal operation experience preferred. Will accept Roustabout, Flowback, Water Transfer Operator experience. 
  • Strong working knowledge of PD pumps, Quinniplex pumps, H pumps, & Centrifugal pumps preferred. 
  • Must live in Odessa, Midland area to be considered.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record required.
  • Must be able to pass all conditional job offer requirements including background check, drug screening, MVR, agility, fit for duty.
  • Physical Requirements - Must be able to lift 40 lbs., climb ladders and stairs. Walking, bending stooping is required. Must be able to wear personal protective equipment. Must be able to respond to visual and audible alarms.
  • Understanding of importance of environmental and safe work practices.
