The position of Salt Water Disposal Operator will be responsible formaintaining records for daily reports, performance maintenance on pumps and other equipment with minimal or no supervision.
Responsibilities
Cleaning out SWD filter baskets on the pumps and offload locations.
Provide excellent customer service while interacting with truck drivers.
Checking loads to ensure fluid is acceptable for disposal.
Proactively monitoring water levels at site to ensure tanks are within their operating parameters.
Daily inspection of equipment and facility operating functions.
Perform necessary preventive and corrective maintenance.
Monitoring and account for skim oil volumes removed from facility.
Tracking pump pressures.
Coordinate with trucking companies on delivery of saltwater.
Monitoring drivers for proper procedures and the use of personal protection equipment.
Maintaining a clean and safe environment at all times.
Ensure compliance with HSE policies and saltwater disposal requirements.
Reporting safety and environmental issues to management.
Qualifications
Must live within 50 miles of Pecos, TX
Computer knowledge - proficient utilizing MS Windows environment.
Strong initiative and self-starter.
Ability to keep neat and accurate records.
Multi-task orientation with skills related to work prioritization.
Excellent interpersonal communications skills in a team environment.
General mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
Ability to identify operational inefficiencies.
Understanding of business fundamentals.
Ability to implement cost effective solutions.
Technical Skills related to math and analytical thinking.
Understanding of the importance of environmental and safe work practices.
One (1) year of salt water disposal operation experience.
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Strong working knowledge of PD pumps, Quinniplex pumps, H pumps, & Centrifugal pumps.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Basic computer skills (familiarity with Microsoft Excel) and simple mathematical calculations.
