Overview

This role is responsible for assisting with the monitoring, recording, and management of air emissions in compliance with regulatory requirements and Company internal environmental policies. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in environmental science and compliance, attention to detail, and the ability to work well independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Emissions Monitoring: Assist in the collection and documentation of emissions data from various sources, including production facilities, equipment, and operations.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with state, federal, and company-specific environmental regulations regarding air quality, greenhouse gas emissions, and other pollutants.
  • Data Entry & Analysis: Record and maintain emissions data in electronic and manual databases, ensuring accuracy and completeness for reporting purposes.
  • Inspections & Audits: Support periodic inspections of equipment and operations to identify potential emissions sources or areas of concern.
  • Reporting: Assist in preparing emissions reports for regulatory agencies, internal audits, and other stakeholders.
  • Equipment Calibration & Maintenance: Help with the calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of emissions monitoring equipment.
  • Environmental Awareness: Participate in ongoing training to stay current with emissions standards, industry best practices, and new technologies.
  • Safety & Compliance: Promote a safety-first culture, ensuring that all activities are performed in compliance with Company safety and environmental standards.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent; Technical or Environmental degree preferred. 
  • Previous experience in O&G Environmental, leak detection and repair methods, and regulatory compliance. 
  • Experience with troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, and calibration of valves, actuators, hatches, VRUs, and vents. 
  • Familiarity with emergency response methodologies. 
  • Demonstrated development and management of compliance procedures at facility level. 
  • Good driving record and valid driver’s license. 
  • Able to climb ladders and stairs, perform physical tasks (walking, bending, stooping), and lift up to 60 pounds. 
  • Able to wear personal protective equipment, including respirators, and respond to visual and audible alarms.
