As a Benefits Coordinator supporting the centralized Employee Service Center, you will manage and administer a variety of Time Away programs, including FMLA, ADA, short- and long-term disability, sick leave, state leave programs, and Workers’ Compensation coordination. Using the AbsenceTracker system in conjunction with Workday, you will track, and document leave requests, ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements, and provide clear and confidential support to employees, managers, and HR partners. This role is instrumental in delivering a smooth and professional employee leave experience while maintaining accurate records and ensuring timely processing.
Process and track employee leave requests submitted via AbsenceTracker; follow up with submitters when information is incomplete.
Maintain comprehensive and confidential leave records; ensure compliance with federal, state, and company-specific leave policies.
Prepare and distribute leave-related documentation including forms, letters, and notices.
Serve as the point of contact for employees and HR staff with leave-related inquiries and support needs.
Monitor vendor service levels and collaborate to ensure high-quality support for employees.
Review leave and payroll discrepancies in partnership with Time Tracking and Payroll teams.
Partner with HR to manage timelines in accordance with company policies and case management standards.
Utilize Workday and AbsenceTracker to document case activities, generate reports, and track leave data.
Produce and distribute Long-Term Disability (LTD) claim packets and maintain associated communications.
Respond to the Leave Administration email inbox in a timely and professional manner.
Identify and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in leave management.
Ensure protection of personal health information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Support broader Time Away benefit initiatives and assist with cross-functional HR activities as needed.
Degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
Minimum 2+ years of experience in HR, benefits, or leave administration.
Solid knowledge of FMLA, ADA, and other federal, state, and local leave regulations.
Experience working with HRIS systems (Workday preferred) and AbsenceTracker.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
