Overview

Inventory Part specialists are responsible for managing customer inquiries related to part properties, manages inventory data, processes transactions, and provides technical advice related to industrial parts, ensuring efficient operations and customer demand needs and ability to identify possible alternatives to primary inventory demands.  Facilitate inventory analysis and continuous improvement sessions to identify and deliver solutions to remove impediments to flow and achieve desired business outcomes.

Responsibilities

OPERATIONAL

  • Possess a strong technical knowledge understanding of industrial parts and systems.
  • Be able to accurately identify parts based on customer needs and industrial application specifications.
  • Stay updated on the latest products suppliers and product categories and technical specifications.  
  • Review and adjust Customer inventory data and settings for newly created material masters daily assets utilizing ERP master data fields.
  • Facilitate implementation of inventory optimization recommendations to ensure that the routine optimization recommendations are reviewed, approved and uploaded into system of record.
  • Be a champion in explaining different inventory optimization scenarios to the customers and able to demonstrate simulations of different options and to help stakeholders make a meaningful decisions optimizing product identification and inventory recommendations.
  • Run reports daily/weekly/monthly monitoring key inventory characteristics that ensures inventory accuracy and ensure the routine functional dashboards are updated on a timely manner
  • Extract relevant data from ERP systems and upload relevant data into integration platform
  • Assist with identification of parts and materials as necessary, provides feedback to appropriate personnel to correct material master descriptions and other relevant data.
  • Perform periodic analysis of inventory levels, recommending inventory setting adjustments aimed at target specific minimum and maximum reorder point adjustments that fulfills offshore demand.
  • Work on specific materials management projects that result from Scrum activity.
  • Perform data driven analysis of current asset inventory on hand and deliver sustainable recommendations to cleanse and/or adjust MRP (Material Requirement Planning) settings, as needed.
  • Provide guidance for the correct process of handling and storage of inventory.
  • Provide inventory control reports as required
  • Identify obsolete, non-moving & excess inventory
  • Continuously monitor Inventory analytics, KPIs and Dashboards

    • Able to understand strengths and weakness of the team and implement ongoing development programs to ensure that the team is utilized to their best ability.

     

Qualifications

REQUIRED

 

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Three or more years of experience in data analysis or computer programming
  • Has good analytical skills and key eye on details to monitor data trending
  • Experience working with company hardware and software systems
  • Must be comfortable keeping track of numerous products and extensive amounts of information
  • Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint & Word
  • Material Master Data Discipline 

 

 

PREFERRED

  • Has work experience of the Warehouse operations
  • Has worked in material management and has relevant industry experience and knowledg
