Overview

This position is responsible for the overall execution of materials management, inventory and warehousing processes, efficiencies and improvements at Harvey Terminal and Offshore operations for the Client. The Role is strategic in nature but requires operational/ transactional expertise, with the sense of urgency and to clearly align with client expectations to ensure a smooth operation in Harvey and offshore facility. This position should act as a subject matter expertise (SME) on the role with responsibility for assessing the company wide practices on warehouse management, material management and inventory and support enablement projects. The role will be looked upon as the person who can manage the offshore warehouse operations and support inventory and warehouse optimization and enablement efforts, lead change management, effective internal and external communication agent, manage routine cycle counting execution in coordination with the inventory planning team, analyze inventory data,  This position will be reporting to the Supply Chain Materials Manager in Grey La, and support the success of the larger Danos team assigned to the client contract.

 

Responsibilities

  • Identify customers’ expectations and requirements to align goals according with contract provisions
  • Assist the customer in developing and implementing processes and ensuring the interface between the Danos team and the customer responds to the current and future activity levels
  • Aligns internal and customer KPIs to ensure visibility and accountability,
  • Generate required reports (monthly/quarterly) on MM/INV/ WH performance metrics (i.e. functional, safety and organizational) for Houma operations and communicate such KPI’s with Danos team
  • Be a champion and a leader in Materials, Inventory and Warehouse Management activities to support the client expectations and able to continuously influence best practices that Danos offers within the industry
  • Able to analyze inventory and warehouse related data and build strong competency to enable value creation opportunities to the client.
  • Be a champion and continuously improve Danos’s offerings and organizational capability
  • Ensure full compliance associated with the contract.
  • Monitor and manage transactional efficiencies within the offshore facilities, including inbound and outbound logistics efficiencies.
  • Always explore opportunities towards continuous improvement
  • Ensure compliance to Clients Preservation, and routine maintenance requirements and guidelines.
  • Implement value added services to help client in improving the overall functional excellence (i.e. Repair and Return process, Staging process, Investment Recovery and Surplus Sales process, Consolidation of warehouses, maximize space utilization, warehouse automation, Bill Of Material improvement, Master Data utilization improvement, etc.)

Qualifications

  • Offshore materials experience will be a plus
  • Upstream Oil & Gas experience will be a plus
  • Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain or Business Administration (BA) will be a plus
  • APICS Certified in Production and Inventory (CPIM) or equivalent will be a plus
