Overview

The D Operator assists in the construction, maintenance, and operation of production equipment and facilities. This role involves performing various tasks related to production equipment, maintenance, and general housekeeping, ensuring adherence to safety practices and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the construction of equipment and facilities as directed by the roustabout foreman.
  • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance, as well as reactive maintenance, on equipment.
  • Report spills, leaks, and other environmental hazards promptly.
  • Carry out general housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Operate and maintain production equipment, including production packs, 2 & 3 phase separators, reboilers, dehydration units, dump valves, air compressors, turbine meters, pumps, tanks, and flowlines.
  • Troubleshoot and repair basic production equipment and tools needed to complete job tasks.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned at the supervisor's discretion.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of construction experience; remote fieldwork preferred.
  • Working knowledge of oil and gas production operations is preferred but not required; training will be provided for acceptable candidates.
  • High School Diploma or GED required; some college or technical training is preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently without direct supervision.
  • Ability to work overtime, holidays, and be available for call-outs as required.
  • Proficient computer skills, particularly in a Microsoft Windows environment.
  • Strong initiative, self-starter, and ability to keep neat and accurate records.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Understanding of the importance of environmental and safe work practices.
  • Must be able to exert 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, 25 to 50 pounds frequently, and 10 to 20 pounds constantly.
  • Ability to perform fine motor skills, including finger manipulation, grasping, and arm-hand steadiness.
  • Must be able to climb at heights above six feet, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, stand, walk, and reach.
  • Requires auditory attention and hearing sensitivity to distinguish various maintenance indicators.
  • Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
