Overview

This job involves maintaining and operating pipeline systems, including conducting dew point testing, monitoring glycol dehydration systems, and performing minor maintenance on equipment like compressors, pumps, and valves. It also includes assisting with pipeline repairs, construction, and pigging, while compiling production reports and ensuring field equipment starts and stops as needed. Candidates should have 2+ years of relevant experience, a high school diploma, and the ability to work in various physical and environmental conditions, with a flexible schedule that may include travel and on-call responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts dew point testing, maintains and monitors glycol dehydration systems
  • Executes start up, shut down and maintains field equipment
  • Performs minor maintenance on compressors, engines, pumps, controls, piping and valves
  • Assists with Pipeline pigging
  • Assists with construction and pipeline repairs and installation
  • Compiles daily production reports including downtime, abnormal gas volumes, condensation and unaccountable losses
  • Starts and stops all field equipment according to established operating procedures

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • 2+ years experience in the maintenance and operation of Refined Products Pipelines, Terminals, Pump Stations or equivalent industry experience
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of related pipeline equipment including compressors, engines, pumps, controls and valves
  • Must maintain a clean driving record, maintain company vehicle and abide by vehicle policies

Physical Demands:

  • Utilize multi-limb coordination and flexibility combined with control precision to perform fine motor skills including: finger manipulation, grasping, feeling, arm-hand steadiness, in order to push, pull or lift objects
  • Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. 
  • Work involves climbing at heights at or above six feet. 
  • Utilizes multi-limb coordination to balance on even or uneven surfaces, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, stand, and walk, reach over shoulders or below the knees. 
  • Auditory attention and hearing sensitivity is required, as candidates must possess the ability to distinguish various sounds that serve as key maintenance indicators.
  • Must employ the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by the company’s Environmental, Health, and Safety policies.

 Work Environment:

  • Full exposure to extreme weather changes and humidity/moisture relative to atmospheric condition variations. Includes exposure to extreme summer and winter temperatures, as well as rain, sleet, and snow. 
  • Full exposure to dust, chemicals, gases, fumes, smoke, excessive noise, and/or vibrations. 
  • Travel may be required for assignments, meetings, and training. 
  • The job also requires availability for rotating on-call schedule, occasional unscheduled call-outs and extended workdays and/or workweeks. 
  • Overtime, Weekend and/or Holiday hours may be required.
