Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Offshore Crane Operator & Mechanic to join our team. This dual-role position involves operating offshore cranes to lift and move equipment and materials, as well as maintaining, repairing, and inspecting cranes and related machinery. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of cranes while also providing mechanical expertise to maintain equipment functionality in challenging offshore environments.

Responsibilities

  • Operate cranes using levers and pedals to raise, lower, and rotate loads in compliance with safety procedures.
  • Load and unload equipment from boats on offshore procurement platforms.
  • Follow hand signals to perform lifting and positioning tasks safely and accurately.
  • Lead a team of construction riggers to ensure smooth crane operations and adherence to safety standards.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on offshore cranes, including hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
  • Conduct inspections of crane equipment to identify and address potential issues, ensuring operational safety and efficiency.
  • Work in challenging offshore conditions while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies regarding crane operations and equipment maintenance.

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of offshore crane operating experience.
  • Crane Operator Certification (preferred).
  • Strong mechanical knowledge and experience, particularly in offshore crane systems.
  • Familiarity with Seatrax cranes and deepwater operations is a plus.
  • Ability to work in dynamic offshore environments, including tough weather conditions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Required:

  • 5+ years of offshore experience
  • Rigger Certification
  • Crane Certification
  • Fluent both in spoken and written English.
  • Supervisory Experience

 

Working Conditions:

  • Offshore work environment with exposure to challenging weather conditions.
  • Rotational shifts with the possibility of extended hours.
