Overview

The Deepwater Operations Assistant/Clerk/Operator is responsible for various clerical tasks, including production data entry, preparing reports, and coordinating personnel logistics. This role requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and proficiency in Excel. Experience in a production setting and familiarity with materials coordination are advantageous. 

Responsibilities

  • Compiles and analyses basic information for inclusion in reports or presentation materials
  • Basic knowledge of spreadsheet, word-processing and presentation software
  • Reads and routes incoming mail, locates and attaches appropriate file to correspondence to be answered by employer
  • Organizes and maintains file system, and files correspondence and other records
  • Answers and screens manager’s telephone calls, and arranges conference calls
  • Coordinates and arranges meetings, prepares agendas, reserves and prepares facilities, and records and transcribes minutes of meetings
  • Composes, types and copies outgoing correspondence, including e-mails and faxes
  • Orders and maintains supplies, and arranges for equipment maintenance
  • May perform basic accounting duties, such as light receivables/payables and /or invoice approval preparation
  • Maintain and report out Air Logistics schedule, working directly with Heliport Dispatcher
  • Monitor flight costs (monitor utilization of flight to alleviate extra cost)
  • Creates flight manifest and cargo manifest.
  • Manage Material Movement Request working directly with heliport.
  • Manage weight out process of all personnel and cargo leaving platform in iLogistics.
  • Managed Departures (Helicopter flight video and safety briefing before boarding)
  • Maintains and report out Marine Logistics
  • Bunk assignments
  • Manage Hurricane evacuation/No flight days (lodging, logistics, communications, etc.)
  • Generate and hand out arrival sheets.
  • Assist and backup HLO duties if needed.
  • Ensure all persons boarding helicopters are equipped with appropriate PPE and ensure lifejackets are donned correctly.
  • Carry out all operations in safe and environmentally sound manner. Operate offshore production facility in accordance with customer requirements.
  • Test, calibrate, maintain, and inspect equipment.
  • Perform mandatory paperwork required by customer and government agencies

Qualifications

  • 3- 5 years of experience working offshore as a clerk, dispatcher, logistics and some production operating experience preferred. 
  • This position is for a new production platform. Candidate must be willing to start crew changing at shipyard in Ingleside, TX on a 14x14 rotation schedule and will follow the platform offshore and will then crew change out of Houma, LA on a 14x14 rotation schedule.
  • Strong Excel skills with the ability to build charts and tables with ease. 
  • Possess strong clerical, communication, customer service, and organizational skills. 
  • Strong production data entry and logistics experience. 
  • Experience with materials coordination is a plus.
